Redskins sign tight end Joe Torchia

The Redskins have added tight end Joe Torchia to their roster, according to the undrafted rookie's agent.

Torchia played his college ball at Virginia and is listed at 6-foot-6, 260 pounds. He served mostly as a blocking tight end, finishing his college career with 263 yards on 24 catches. He appeared in only the first four games of his senior season before a shoulder injury derailed his college career.

He is the fourth tight end the Redskins have in camp, joining Chris Cooley, Fred Davis and Logan Paulsen. Mike Sellers has also been working with the tight ends.
