Rex Grossman will start at quarterback for the Washington Redskins in their preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens, according to general manager Bruce Allen.

During a radio interview with ESPN 980 Thursday evening, Allen said that Grossman will start, play a couple of series, and then make way for John Beck, and that the two quarterbacks would rotate from there.

Grossman started the preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers and had a solid outing, completing 19 of 26 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown.

Last week, Beck got his shot at the starting quarterback job and completed 14 of 17 passes for 140 yards.

Allen also said that the team doesn’t yet have enough evidence to name a starter for the regular season.
