Holiday Happenings

The elves at Weekend and Going Out Guide are compiling the area’s holiday events for a special section. (The Associated Press )

We swear, we don’t mean to cause panic, but we want to point out that we are less than three months away from wrapping presents, singing carols and lighting candles.

The elves here at the Weekend section and Going Out Guide have already started holiday preparations. We are compiling a comprehensive guide to holiday events that will be ready for readers the day after Thanksgiving. The guide will include events for kids, concerts, Kwanzaa events, light displays, “Messiah” singalongs, Hanukkah events, festivals, open houses, “Nutcracker” performances, holiday theater and New Year’s Eve events.

In order to make sure your holiday activities are included, please send a detailed description, with dates, times, prices, a street address, Web site and a phone number we can publish, to with “Holiday Happenings” in the subject line. The guide will be published Nov. 23, but we need your information by Oct. 29.

If you want your event to appear in the Weekend section’s weekly listings, note that in your e-mail, but only submit your event once, please. Because of space limitations, craft fairs and religious services will not be included.
