The new 201 Bar, celebrating its official grand opening tonight, is markedly different from Lounge 201. The large round booths are gone, replaced by leather banquettes and couches. The wooden paneling on the walls has been replaced with mirrors. The bar itself has changed color, from red to white marble, and now sports taps for draft beer. (Beer, wine and mixed drinks are still half-price at happy hour, which runs from 5 to 8.) A freshened-up cocktail menu sports a shandy made with Blanche de Bruxelles beer and a surprisingly good boilermaker of mezcal, Natty Boh and smoked jalepenos.

More changes are in the offing, including opening for lunch.

Tonight’s opening celebration will feature free samples of food and drinks from the new menu, plus dancing to a DJ, beginning at 8 p.m.
