This week is your last chance to see “D's Nails by Decoy” at the Fridge. (Decoy)

Free this week: A screening of the classic Judy Garland rom-com “In the Good Old Summertime” and the closing of the Fridge’s nail art exhibit.

In the Good Old Summertime

Fans of the Meg Ryan/Tom Hanks rom-com “You’ve Got Mail” can watch one of the film’s predecessors when the National Theatre screens this 1949 Judy Garland classic. Garland plays a Chicago music store employee who battles constantly with her colleague Andrew (Van Johnson). Little do they know they’re exchanging romantic love letters.

Mariachi Tesoro de San Fernando

This multigenerational mariachi band has been recognized for teaching student apprentices to play this traditional music. The ensemble plays a free concert at Glen Echo in the seated Ballroom Annex.

Vlado Kreslin

Slovenian folk-rock artist Vlado Kreslin plays a diverse set of mainstream rock, tunes from his home country and American blues in a show put on in conjunction with the Embassy of Slovenia.

Gaylord Christmas festivities

If you have already moved on from Thanksgiving to Christmas, head to the Gaylord National Resort for a 6 p.m. tree-lighting ceremony also featuring a light show, indoor snowfall and dancing fountains.

Reston holiday parade

Black Friday is mostly about spending money, but there are still free options for those not drawn to the shopping mall. Take, for example, the Reston holiday parade, which promises floats, Santa and Mrs. Claus, horse-drawn carriage rides and more.

Werner Schroeter in Italy

The National Gallery screens two early films by the German director this weekend, showcasing his fondness for southern Italy, where he was once a student. Saturday’s selection is “Palermo or Wolfsburg,” followed by “The Kingdom of Naples” on Sunday.

Last chance: D’s Nails by Decoy

It’s not every day that an artist transforms an art gallery into a nail salon, but artist Decoy has done just that. Sunday is the last day to check out the show, which the artist says arose out of a decision to stop biting her nails.
