A huge pool of local musicians is teaming up to pay tribute to the Band’s famous “Last Waltz” farewell gig while raising money for the Red Cross. Performers at the Hamilton on Sunday include Eagles guitarist Steuart Smith, blues guitarists “Steady Rollin’” Bob Margolin and Tom Principato, Chopteeth’s horn section, singing drummer Big Joe Maher, R&B singers Julia Nixon and Tommy Lepson and singer-songwriter Jon Carroll, known for his work with Mary Chapin Carpenter’s Band and the Starlight Vocal Band. Channel 4’s Wendy Rieger is the emcee. The $100 VIP tickets include dinner and a reception with drinks; the $25 general admission tickets don’t guarantee a seat.

All three Pizzeria Paradiso locations are turning to American red ales to raise money for the Red Cross on Thursday. Each will offer a different beer – No-Li Amber in Georgetown, Oskar Blues G’Knight in Dupont Circle, and Troegs HopBack Amber in Old Town – and donate all proceeds from the sale of those brews to charity.

Make a donation to the Red Cross on Thursday night at any Roti Mediterranean Grill location and the restaurant will give you a free dinner. The size of the donation doesn’t matter – just the act of giving. The offer is good from 4 to 6 p.m. at the L’Enfant Plaza store and 6 to 8 p.m. at all others.

The group that owns Carmine’s, along with several restaurants in the New York area, has concocted a special cocktail specifically to benefit hurricane relief efforts. The Carmine’s Cares includes Absolut Orient apple, ginger liqueur, cranberry and lemon, and the restaurant will donate $1 to the Red Cross for each cocktail sold, and match the company-wide total at the end of the promotion. The deal is on now and runs through Nov. 13.

Town Tavern is asking patrons to bring relief supplies – baby formula and diapers, flashlights, blankets – to happy hour on Friday night. Donate $5 to a Sandy relief fund (exact recipient TBA) and get $3 bottled beers and rail drinks from 9 to midnight.
