Changes are afoot for Bikeshare users. (Gerald Martineau for The Washington Post)

There are also changes afoot for short-termers. The current five-day plan will be discontinued as of Nov. 3 and replaced with a $15 three-day option. The price of 24-hour memberships will go up from $5 to $7, and usage charges for those exceeding 30-minute rides will also increase.

The cost of monthly and yearly memberships will remain unchanged, however. Speaking of which, have you tried our Bikeshare itineraries yet? If not, take them for a spin, and let us know if you find them therapeutic.
