Today we sent out our weekly Going Out Guide With the Kids e-mail newsletter, packed with ideas from the Going Out Gurus and great reads for parents from the rest of The Post. If you want to get in on the action, sign up here.

For a glimpse of the newsletter, we offer three of our top picks as well as three out-of-the-ordinary Easter egg festivals:

Blossom Kite Festival (Saturday) Whether you are a rokkaku champion or have the skills of Charlie Brown, you are guaranteed to be amazed by the artistry at this annual rite of spring.

NSO Kinderkonzert: Musical Opposites (Saturday) The Kennedy String Quartet demonstrate how opposites (loud and soft, fast and slow) can come together to make beautiful music.

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo (Saturday) The Easter bunny isn’t the only thing hopping around Washington — Secret Agent 23 Skidoo brings hip-hop tunes to Jammin’ Java.

Faberge Egg Family Festival (Saturday and Sunday) The ornate eggs at Hillwood star in this annual festival of all things Russian.

Aqua Egg Hunt (Saturday) Herndon Community Center Pool will be filled with eggs for a unique hunt. Hunts are organized by age and there will be prizes for the children who collect the most eggs.

Family Flashlight Egg Hunt (Friday) The Easter bunny will be working the night shift Friday at Glyndon Park, where kids can search for eggs after the sun goes down.
