We round up the blog posts, tweets and going-out scuttlebutt that have us talking.

Dakota Fine made us swoon with his loverly shots of the dandies and fair ladies who gathered, vintage cycles in tow, for this weekend’s Seersucker Social. Per usual now for the Tweed Rides and Seersucker Socials, it was the men who really outdid themselves with the getups -- they’re a vision in pastel. [Brightest Young Things]

Washington City Paper reports on the demise of a local modern dance company, CityDance, after 15 years on the scene. The paper wondered whether it was the economy, but the company’s executive director, Alexandra Nowakowski, was more pragmatic: “We never really built enough of an audience or donor base to meet our budget.” [Washington City Paper]

And finally, Eater reported the opening of Tackle Box ’s giant second location in Cleveland Park on Friday, while Prince of Petworth got inside to get a look at the decor (and prices) at the one-time McDonald’s. There were lines, but don’t worry: No police intervention was necessary. [Eater]
