Circle Yoga in Chevy Chase offers free and donation-based classes for mind and body. Head to the studio on the first and third Monday of the month for what may be the perfect antidote to the beginning-of-the-week blahs: a two-hour mindfulness workshop, including sitting and walking meditations and a discussion. On Saturdays at 12:30 p.m., the studio holds an hour-long donation-based class with proceeds going to a different charity each week, from the Humane Society to the National Brain Tumor Association.

Wednesday nights might lead to a bit of a conundrum — Dupont Circle or Meridian Hill? Clothing retailer Lululemon hosts its weekly 60-minute class in Dupont Circle at 6:30 p.m., while Citizen Effect hosts 90-minute classes every other Wednesday through August in Meridian Hill Park.

Speaking of Lululemon, the Logan Circle store also teams up with Stroga, the Adams Morgan studio, which hosts free classes on Sundays at 3:45 p.m.

Bikram Dupont’s seventh annual summer tradition of outdoor yoga also takes place on Sundays. The hot yoga studio offers 90-minute classes starting at 5 p.m. in Meridian Hill.

Alexandria’s Hotel Monaco, known its stellar doggie happy hour, has begun offering Fido-friendly classes with the help of Pure Prana Yoga. Some Thursday nights, visitors can grab a drink during happy hour before the 6 p.m. class, which promises 40 minutes of meditation and poses designed to calm both humans and their furry friends. The next class is Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. (Update: The next class takes place Aug. 18 at 6 p.m.)
