“It has been so long since I had been in our nation's beautiful capital ...that it was time to find out,” GP wrote. “So we gooped it! Time for a trip.”
Now, we all know that Gwynnie contends that she doesn’t use a ghostwriter. And there is that somewhat sad misuse of “has been” and “had been” together that could well back up her claim.
On a lark, I put in a quick call to Muleh, which said that no, Gwyneth Paltrow did not stop by. In fact, although it does carry “very cool women’s clothes,” a shopgirl asked me to tell everyone: Muleh doesn’t even carry the Derek Lam that Goop says it spied there.
The Post’s Reliable Source reporter Amy Argetsinger says she “can’t remember ANY Paltrow visit in my seven years on this crazy beat,” but she notes that VIPs have slipped in and out of Washington undetected. I contacted the London-based company Goop.com for comment but haven’t heard back yet.
Okay, what do you guys think? Was she here?
