The dining space itself got a major facelift. Sleek, green and modern, the new space features more than twice as many seats, more room for the always long line, an additional register and an exhibition window into the salad- and juice-making area. A long window wall brings welcome natural light into the space.

In other restaurant news, Chick-fil-A made quite a splash Monday with the announcement that it would debut one of its food trucks in the District on April 9. The news was met with applause by lovers of fast food chicken, but it was also derided by those who disapprove of the company’s monetary support of anti-gay organizations.

In the All We Can Eat blog, Tim Carman broke the news of a new craft cocktail lounge coming to Rockville. Quench will be in the former Beale Street Grill space at 9712 Traville Gateway Dr. and will feature a 40-drink cocktail menu broken into such sections as classics, seasonal sips and original creations.

In other news from the Food section, The Post is getting ready to release its first cookbook. The full-color hardback will include 100 to 150 recipes from the Food section archives and will probably hit shelves in April 2013. Have a favorite you would like to see included? Send your suggestions to
