Yeah, Restaurant Week could be great, if only it weren’t for all of those pesky vegetables. But there’s no roughage allowed in the counter-programming to the biggest dining week of the year: #MEATWEEK, eight days of enthusiastic carnivorous eating. Pork will be savored. Facial hair will be be grown. Tums should be consumed. Vegetarians? LOL.

From Jan. 27 to Feb. 3 — conveniently, one week before Restaurant Week — you can eat smoky, barbecued meats every day. This year’s Meat Week will feature a food truck night at Living Social, as well as a barbecue brunch at Kangaroo Boxing Club. It’s not reservation-based, like Restaurant Week — you can simply show up at the designated time and location, and enjoy to-be-announced specials at each place.
