Over at the CityPaper’s Young & Hungry blog, Chris Shott posted about the seven new restaurants that developer Forest City is bringing to the Yards near Nationals Park. The list has some familiar names on it, like Potbelly and Austin Grill Express, but it also includes a third Buzz Bakery location and a new restaurant with a craft brewery, both from the Neighborhood Restaurant Group, the team behind Rustico and ChurchKey. The group will sell beer from the new brewery at the to-be-named restaurant, the group’s own restaurants “and potentially other spots as well,” said Megan Bailey, head of public relations for the group.

No team has been announced yet for the new restaurant, and the 6,400-square-foot space is still a year away from beginning construction, so it’s probably best for you ChurchKey fans to put your anticipation on the back burner for now.

In the meantime, congratulations are in order for the hungry Southwest Southeast waterfront workforce. You’ve been toiling in a veritable restaurant wasteland for years, and now you are set to have a burger joint, cupcake shop and craft beer. Welcome to the D.C. dining scene!
