After winning Major League Soccer’s Most Valuable Player award and goal-scoring title last year, Dwayne De Rosario is back to lead the D.C. United into the 2012 season. The United open up their home schedule at RFK Stadium with a match against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday.

Doug Richmond’s 1985 book “How to Disappear Completely and Never Be Found” offered advice on going off the grid and starting an entirely new identity separate from the one that can be tracked. Fin Kennedy’s play based on the book, written in 2005, gives a 21st century look at the characteristics that define us. See the updated version at the H Street Playhouse starting Saturday.

The organizers behind some of D.C.’s best dressed events, the Tweed Ride and the Seersucker Social, are teaming up for a nine-mile bike ride along the Potomac River. Of course, given the promoters, you’ll be expected to dress to the nines. The theme for the ride, dubbed the Dandies & Quaintrelles River Ride, is “urban -- functional, contemporary and edgy.” Get your outfit and bike together for Saturday.
