If you don’t have seats at Verizon Center for the first two games of the Capitals first-round playoff matchup with the New York Rangers, here are a few local bars that are happy to help you Rock the Red in good company. The puck drops tonight and Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Union Pub

Caps fans on the Hill can head here for $5 Patron drinks and $8 buckets of Bud Light.

Khan’s Bar and Grill

The H Street Mongolian eatery will offer $2 Pabst Blue Ribbons during all Caps playoff games, with the game broadcast on the bar’s 100 inch-plus projection screen with full game audio.

Union Jack’s Ballston

Anyone wearing Caps gear gets food and drink specials during all Caps playoff games, and if you’re trying to get a ticket to Friday’s Game 2, you have four chances with random drawings during tonight’s game.

Lou’s City Bar

When the Caps score (and please, please let them score first tonight), it means free shooters for all patrons at this month-old Columbia Heights sports bar.

By now, you probably know how much the Caps players love DJ Pauly D of “Jersey Shore” fame. Well, then hope for a win in Game 2, because Pauly D himself is spinning at Barcode on Friday after the game. You just never know which of his hockey-playing fans might stop by to celebrate.

Bugsy’s Sports Bar

Hockey heads routinely flock to former Cap Bryan Watson’s Old Town pizzeria. If you’re the type of fan who likes to watch in a communal environment while not missing a minute of the action, this is the place.

Penn Quarter Sports Tavern

During last season’s series against Montreal, you were likely to find employees from the nearby Canadian embassy taking over the bar; not so this year. Caps fans can drink $3 Miller Lites during the games.

Post sports blogger Dan Steinberg found Charm City watering holes Della Rose’s Tavern, Hudson Street Stackhouse and Crazy Lil’s swarming with Caps fans. If you’re up that way, check them out.
