If social media sentiment determined the outcome of the Super Bowl, the Denver Broncos would have the game locked down, according to 140 Proof, a social media advertising company.
The company scoured public comments posted on social networks from Friday to Monday for posts like “Go Denver” and “I love the Seahawks.” The result: 29 states were pro-Broncos, while just 6 were pro-Seattle Seahawks. Fifteen states were too close to call.
If this were an election, the Broncos would be walking away with 405 electoral votes, nearly the amount George Bush won by in 1988. Fortunately for Seahawks fans, this map has no bearing on the game — it’s just something fun to look over during your lunch break. Back to work!
