I’m back from an awesome vacation with my family last week. Hope you guys didn’t miss me too much. I’m ready for some more interesting comments on my posts, so let’s get going.
I expect that there will be an NFL season this year. But what type of season will it be?
With the work stoppage lasting the entire offseason, I think that the well-managed and consistently competitive teams will dominate the first part of the season.
It makes sense to me that teams with mainstays at coaching positions and players in key positions like quarterback have such a strong advantage.
The familiarity between coaches, players, teammates and schemes that have worked in games will widen the gap far away from marginal to below-average teams.
Look for the teams in transition or still trying to discover some winning ways to struggle early and often, as every practice and coaching session for these types of teams is critical during the offseason.
