It appears that what I expected has happened: The Jets re-signed Santonio Holmes.

Washington has already re-signed Santana Moss and added a deep threat in Donte Stallworth. This may solidify what the Redskins will do at receiver.

I like Holmes, but I like Moss more for the Redskins, and believe me: If Stallworth can find a way to return back to form, he could be that dangerous deep threat who can stretch zones out, opening things up for Moss, Chris Cooley, Fred Davis and Leonard Hankerson.

Questions still remain. Who will be pass protecting and run blocking? Will John Beck be able to get the ball to these guys? Is Beck even going to be the guy throwing the ball?

I have been critical of the Redskins’ decisions, but for now, I feel that these moves so far have helped this team and not hurt it.

But I still am wondering, personnel wise, what the Redskins will do with Haynesworth. How will they address the cornerback and offensive line positions?

They may still need another defensive linemen or two. Will they look at a running back?

Stay tuned. It's football season — lots going on, and I will continue to give you my perspective on all things Redskins and NFL.
