USA Today came out with its yearly college football coaches’ salary database this week, and because Virginia Tech Coach Frank Beamer could be considering staff changes following the worst season the Hokies have endured in 20 years, we should take note of some figures.

According to the list, Virginia Tech ranked 23rd in the country, and third in the ACC behind Florida State and Clemson, in terms of total coaches’ compensation during the 2012 season. Beamer, meanwhile, was only the fifth-highest paid coach in the conference after earning approximately $2.428 million this year.
