Union soldiers remembered with wreaths

On Saturday, wreaths will be laid at the graves of Unions soldiers interred at Maplewood Cemetery in Crown Point, Ind., according to a NWI.com story by Marc Chase. The South Shore Civil War Memorial Trail is sponsoring the event.

Eighty wreaths for area cemeteries have been purchased through a grant from the Efroymson Family Fund , with the first 25 slated for Maplewood.

The public is invited to help place the wreaths as well as learn more about the veterans they are honoring.
