Loop Quote of the Week winner: Joe Biden

Well, it took until Friday to find the perfect Quote of the Week winner, but true to form Vice President Biden came through in the clutch.

During a speech to the National Association of Community Health Centers in Washington, D.C., where he thanked the group for advocating for Obamacare, Biden went off on a tangent about raising daughters.

“Now, think about this,” he said. “All you guys have had grown daughters. One night, when they’re about 12 1/2 years old, you tuck this beautiful little butterfly in bed. And the next morning, you walk in, there’s a snake in the bed.”

Biden continued by citing examples of how poorly daughters treat their fathers in their teenage years, adding, “All you women — you all come back to your dad somewhere between age 20 and 24.”

Oh Joe, you never disappoint.

Sanders’s claim that Clinton objected to meeting with ‘our enemies’
Sanders said that Clinton was critical of Obama in 2008 for suggesting meeting with Iran. In fact, Clinton and Obama differed over whether to set preconditions, not about meeting with enemies. Once in office, Obama followed the course suggested by Clinton, abandoning an earlier position as unrealistic.
