Happy First Day of Summer.

We can think of no better way to celebrate, seriously, than boogie-woogie-ing on the streets of Harlem with Uncle Charlie.

Yes, Uncle Charlie would refer to 84-year-old Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.), whose long, storied and scandal-ridden political career could end Tuesday if he loses the Democratic primary. But the man has been relentless in his fight to hold onto his seat, and Saturday he’s shaking up his campaign, literally.

His spokesman James Freedland said Friday that Rangel support is strong in the community but that “he’s taking nothing for granted heading into the final days.”

To get people “fired up,” the 22-term congressman is hosting a flash mob dance party outside the Harlem Shake restaurant. The invite says to “BRING EVERYBODY” and promises turns of the Electric Slide (circa 1976), the Cupid Shuffle and the Cha-Cha Slide. The street party will feature Pras from The Fugees (circa 1996). Guess he’s aiming for a diverse generational demographic.

This seriously sounds like ridiculous fun. Especially if Rangel pulls out these dance moves:
