Scores of people turned out Wednesday morning to attend memorial events commemorating the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The events in Manhattan, Arlington and near Shanksville, Pa., as well as others around the country, drew the friends and family of those killed in the attacks as well as elected officials and mournful citizens gathering together to mark the anniversary.
