By winning gold in Sunday’s skeet shooting, Kim Rhode became the first individual American athlete to medal in five consecutive Olympics.

But the 33-year-old Californian didn’t just win the event – she nearly achieved perfection.

With a perfect final round, Rhode notched a final score of 99, tying Slovakian Danka Bartekova world record. Bartekova took bronze and China’s Wei Ning won silver.

Rhode previously won golds in double trap in 1996 and 2004, silver in skeet in 2008 and bronze in double trap in 1996.
