House Majority Leader Kumar P. Barve isn’t the only Democratic delegate from Montgomery County eyeing the Maryland comptroller post.
Del. Brian J. Feldman, chairman of the county’s House delegation, said over the weekend that he remains interested in the job, too.
Feldman, a certified public accountant and tax lawyer, floated the idea in 2008 of challenging the current occupant of the office, Peter Franchot (D), in last year’s Democratic primary. Feldman decided not to run.
He noted his continued interest in the post after Barve said in an item in this space Friday that he is interested in running for comptroller in 2014 if Franchot — a former Montgomery delegate himself — runs for governor.
