Green chosen as acting Prince George’s county attorney

Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III (D) has nominated M. Andree Green as acting county attorney and appointed retired Circuit Court Judge William D. Missouri as special legal counsel to the Office of the County Executive.

Green’s nomination is subject to confirmation by the County Council. Green, former land use counsel to the Prince George’s planning board, is expected eventually to be nominated to be county attorney, and head the office that provides legal advice to county agencies and the county executive. She will be paid $160,000.

Missouri, who recently served as vice chair of Baker’s Accountability, Compliance and Integrity (ACI) Board, will help develop and implement a plan to enhance accountability and compliance in government operations, Baker’s office said. His salary has not been determined, a spokesman said.

Green would replace Stephanie P.Anderson, who served as county attorney to former County Executive Jack B. Johnson (D).
