Thank you to @BarackObama for openly expresing his support for #marriageequality. Bigotry should never be enshrined in our law.

President Barack Obama finished “evolving” today and came out in support of same-sex marriage. D.C. politicos, who voted to legalize gay marriage here more than two years ago, delivered praise. Council member David A. Catania (I-At Large) called it a “historic moment for equality and human rights for our nation.” Mary M. Cheh (D-Ward 3) was slightly more patronizing: “I was proud to be a part of that historic legislation, and I am proud of our President today.”
