In case you missed it: Post cartoonist Tom Toles weighed in today on the D.C. Council’s new rule against the public use of “profane, indecent or abusive language” by members.

The council measure has also gotten noticed by editorialists farther afield. The Baltimore Sun referred to the “ugly doings” in an editorial Thursday highlighting an episode of dais bickering among the members of the Howard County school board.

“[W]hile the school board members’ behavior did not sink even close to the level of that exhibited by the D.C. Council,” the paper wrote, “it was, by most standards and especially by the standards of civil Howard County, an unpleasant display unbecoming of a school board.”
