It’s worth reflecting that the two men are probably feeling somewhat differently today than they did in the aftermath of the election.

Gray, who won an astounding victory but suffered from a slow-starting and uneven transition effort, has been mired in political controversy and has seen his approval ratings dip. Fenty — now a lawyer, consultant, corporate adviser, education advocate, political pundit and professordelivered a convocation address last night at his alma mater, Oberlin College.
