As I reported yesterday, sole District gun dealer Charles W. Sykes is having a hard time finding a spot to reopen his business. He doesn’t even sell guns at retail; he merely receives guns transferred from gun shops outside the city borders. But in 2009, the D.C. Zoning Commission voted to restrict gun-related businesses to more than 300 feet from residential zones, places of worship, schools, public libraries, or playgrounds.
