The Washington Mystics have added guard/forward Sequoia Holmes and forward Angel Robinson to their roster.
From the news release:
A 6-1 player from the University of Las Vegas, Holmes has had stints with the Detroit Shock and Houston Comets. She spent the 2010 season with the Phoenix Mercury. While at UNLV, Holmes led the Mountain West Conference in scoring, averaging 18.3 points per game. She also earned First Team All-Mountain West Conference honors and graduated as the conference’s all-time leader in steals (263). She currently averages 15. 9 points and 8.1 rebounds per game with Wasserburg in Germany.
A standout from the University of Georgia, the 6-5 Robinson earned Associated Press All-SEC Honorable Mention (2009) honors while with the Bulldogs. She finished her collegiate career as one of the top shot blockers (206) and rebounders (938) in school history. She was drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks in 2009 and is currently playing in Portugal, where she is averaging 9.1 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
