Bryce Harper is out of today’s Nationals lineup against the Red Sox

After he played in all 37 games and all but half an inning since his call-up, Bryce Harper is out of the lineup for the first time. On Thursday, Manager Davey Johnson revealed Harper was receiving treatment on his lower back, but Harper insisted he was perfectly fine. It’s not known if his day off is related to the ailment or not.

With left-hander Jon Lester starting for the Red Sox, the Nationals will go for the sweep with Danny Espinosa leading off and Xavier Nady hitting second.
