Closer Drew Storen will miss Monday’s game against the Angels to attend the funeral for his grandmother, who passed away Friday at 88. Storen will fly home to Indiana on Sunday night after the Nationals play the White Sox, then re-join the Nationals in time for their game Tuesday in Anaheim, Calif.

Storen has saved 18 games in 21 chances this season, compiling a 2.97 ERA over 39 1/3 innings. Friday night, Storen entered a 3-0 game in the ninth and allowed a three-run homer that tied the game and sent it to extra innings, where the Nationals eventually won in the 14th inning after blowing two more leads.
