The Washington Nationals can ensure at least a .500 record at the All-Star break with a victory over Colorado, which won the first game of the series last night, 3-2. It was the second straight game the Nationals have lost by one run after winning 10 by that margin or in extra innings.

Left fielder Laynce Nix is back in the lineup hitting fourth after missing two games, and catcher Jesus Flores gets his first start in more than two years. Once the Nationals’ top catching prospect before injuries got in the way, Flores was called up yesterday following Ivan Rodriguez going to 15-day disable list with a strained right oblique.

As always, talk about the game right here.
