Mark Buehrle, the Nationals’ top free agent target, has narrowed his field to three teams and has intensified negotiations with all three of them in hopes of making a final decision soon. It is not known if Buehrle still considers the Nationals a finalist for his services, but the Nationals have been making a strong push, including indicating they would offer Buehrle a no-trade clause.
