Michelle Obama part of first pitch ceremony, fans urged to arrive early

An important note if you’re coming to Nationals Park tonight: First lady Michelle Obama will take part in the pregame ceremony at tonight’s Nationals-Cubs game, which will necessitate enhanced security. The Nationals are urging fans to arrive one to two hours earlier than usual for the 7:05 p.m. start. Center field gates will open at 4:30, and all other gates will open at 5:30.

Obama is appearing to promote her Joining Forces initiative, which focuses on supporting military families.
