Nationals at Baltimore: Game 46 Discussion Thread

We may have spoken too soon about that weather. There’s about 20 minutes before the first pitch here in Baltimore and the clouds are starting to roll in and the breeze is picking up.

The forecast on calls for rain starting at around 4 p.m., so the Nationals and Orioles should be able to get this one in.

One thing to note that could be of major consequence in the coming days is first baseman Adam LaRoche getting the day off in favor of Michael Morse. LaRoche told this morning that he plans to get his left shoulder checked out by a doctor on Monday.

LaRoche, who has been dealing with a slightly torn labrum in that left shoulder all season, is batting just .172 this year, with three homeruns and 15 RBIs. We’ll have more after the game this afternoon when manager Jim Riggleman speaks with reporters.

Until then, discuss away as the Nationals go for their first interleague series win since June 2009.
