With a steady stream of rain all morning and severe thunderstorms expected for the rest of the day, the Nationals’ second game against the Milwaukee Brewers has been postponed a day. The Nationals will play a doubleheader at home on Sunday, starting with the first game at 1:35 p.m. The second game will follow 30 minutes after the first.
The Nationals starters will remain as planned. Jason Marquis will take the mound in the first game with Livan Hernandez, originally scheduled to pitch on Sunday, will start the second game.
It’s the Nationals first rainout of the season.
Season tickets and individual game tickets for Saturday’s game will not grant admission to Sunday’s contest, according to the team. Instead, they can be exchanged at the box office for seats of equal value for Sunday’s doubleheader — or any other available home games this season.
The bonus, however, is that any tickets to Sunday’s game will allow you to watch both games of the doubleheader.
