Carlos Alvarez, the prospect once known as Smiley Gonzalez, went 3 for 5 with a triple. Angelberth Montilla went 3 for 4 with a double. Brian Dupra allowed two runs in 3 2/3 innings on six hits and three walks, striking out two. Colin Bates pitched a scoreless final two innings, allowing four hits and striking out four. The championship series starts Monday.
