UPDATE, 4:11: They’re playing. The tarp just came off. First pitch is 4:45 p.m. And this is now the discussion thread. Enjoy the baseball.

UPDATE, 3:05: It is still raining. Umpires and Reds officials will meet again at 4 p.m. to discuss the possible start time again.

The Reds announced today’s 1:10 p.m. start will be delayed by rain. It has poured all morning at Great American Ball Park, and judging by the radar and the optics it is not letting up any time soon. Because the Nationals make only one trip to Cincinnati, it could be a long wait before either playing or a postponement.

If the Nationals do play today, they’ll use the same lineup as last night, except with Jesus Flores in for Wilson Ramos.

1. Ian Desmond, SS

2. Roger Bernadina, LF

3. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B

4. Adam LaRoche, 1B

5. Bryce Harper, RF

6. Danny Espinosa, 2B

7. Rick Ankiel, CF

8. Jesus Flores, C

9. Edwin Jackson, SP

1. Drew Stubbs, CF

2. Chris Heissy, LF

3. Joey Votto, 1B

4. Brandon Phillips, 2B

5. Jay Bruce, RF

6. Todd Frazier, 3B

7. Ryan Hanigan, C

8. Wilson Valdez, SS

9. Bronson Arroyo, SP
