Today’s Nationals lineup

The Nationals will open their three-game series at Dodger Stadium facing right-hander Hiroki Kuroda with their typical lineup. Laynce Nix returns after two days not starting, with Ian Desmond back in the eighth slot.

Before the game, Jesus Flores was shagging early batting practice. So while Ivan Rodriguez is eligible to come off the disabled list today, he won’t be coming off yet. His activation wasn’t expected.
