Today’s Nationals lineup

It’s business as usual, so far, for Drew Storen. He’s about to head out on the field, where he’ll warm up again block out the trade rumors swirling heavily around him. “It’s over in six hours, right?” he said this morning.

Brian Bixler will start in center field and leadoff against lefty Jonathon Niese, becoming the 24th player in Nationals history to start in center. There’s another point that underscores why the Nationals are looking for a center fielder.

1. Brian Bixler, CF

2. Ian Desmond, SS

3. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B

4. Michael Morse, 1B

5. Jayson Werth, RF

6. Danny Espinosa, 2B

7. Jonny Gomes, LF
