Today’s Nationals-Mets lineups

Ian Desmond makes his return from paternity leave tonight, and he’s batting sixth. Roger Bernadina is not listed on the lineup card, which means it seems likely the Nationals optioned him back to Class AAA Syracuse. Brian Bixler remains with the team.

The one different thing about the lineup tonight’s lineup: Ivan Rodriguez is catching against a left-handed starter. That had been the sole domain of Wilson Ramos for some time, but Ramos has started the past two games.
