Experts suggest limiting the number of family activities you do.
“Every family should think about what the holidays mean to them,” said Lynn Bufka, a psychologist in Maryland. “Do we need to bake 15 kinds of cookies?”
Bufka says families should have a meeting to talk about what traditions have meant the most to them, from baking to religious services to sending cards. Then rank them in order of importance, and divide the chores involved so one person doesn’t have to do all the work.
