What’s scarier than a Martian invasion? A throng of costumed children trick-or-treating in a museum. Kids can also check out science experiments and meet characters from “Star Wars” at Air and Scare at the National Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

Air and Scare will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 14390 Air and Space Museum Parkway in Chantilly. Admission is free; parking is $15. For information, call 202-633-1000 or visit the museum’s Web site.
