Pregnant and ‘girl crazy’

From elsewhere in The Post: A pregnant woman doesn’t want to know the sex of her baby because she will be devastated if the child is not a girl.

“I am six months pregnant with my first child and I DESPERATELY want a girl. I’m not sure why, exactly — I have great relationships with my father/brothers/nephews/husband — but the desire is so strong I’m a little concerned,” she writes in a letter to advice columnist Carolyn Hax.

Hax tells this mother why it’s important for her to find out the baby’s sex before her due date, and why boys are a hoot.
