Senators unveil new immigration reform plan : A bipartisan group of eight senators outlined a proposal to reform the current immigration process — this includes creating a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants and increasing border security.

Small firms set to win $5 billion federal contract : The Department of Veterans Affairs plans to select up to three companies to share the five-year contract for computer supplies, and is only considering firms with 150 employees or less as prime contractors. IBM and other large computer companies showed interest in the contract, but will have to align with small businesses to secure any contract work.

Healthcare, taxes top small business concerns: Small business owner optimism is up since November, but healthcare costs and small business taxes were still major concerns for small business owners, according to a Wells Fargo/Gallup survey.
