Business owners warn against entitlement cuts: With the fiscal cliff less than a month away, some small employers say tax disputes are overshadowing a bigger threat to their firms – entitlement cuts.

Employment inches up at small firms: Small business employment, hours and compensation all increased in November, according to new data from Intuit. Maryland and Utah reported the largest job gains.
