Global Entrepreneurship Week explained in three minutes

One month from now, business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world will take part in a week-long series of events as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Organized by the Kauffman Foundation, the celebration consists of pitch competitions, networking events and mentoring sessions that will take place in 125 countries between Nov. 12 and Nov. 18. The goal is to bring established entrepreneurs together and inspire others to consider sharing their ideas and perhaps even start their own businesses.

Kauffman on Tuesday released the following video, which further details the scheduled events and explains the importance of embracing and spreading entrepreneurship across the planet.

Here in the nation’s capital, entrepreneurs will get an early jump on the celebration. D.C. Entrepreneurship Week begins on Oct. 22 and will feature a full schedule of events running through Oct. 26. Check out our gallery for a look at the highlights from last year.
